Simple Sweet Angu Recipe

Here at TudoReceitas we show you how to make simple sweet candy, easy and fast with canned corn. In other regions of Brazil this recipe is called canned corn curau and is especially tasty on cold days. Check out the step-by-step photos of this sweet corn corn candy below and try it out!

Ingredients for making simple sweet Angu:

 2 cans of drained green corn (400 g)

 1 liter of milk

 1 cup of sugar (160 grams)

 5 tablespoons of cornstarch (cornstarch)

 1 pinch of salt

 ground cinnamon

How to make simple sweet Angu:

Put the drained corn in a blender and also half of the milk (500 ml). Beat very well, strain and place again in a blender.

Tip: Beat the corn until smooth or just until it melts a little, the consistency depends on the preference of each one.

Add remaining milk, sugar, cornstarch and salt and beat until combined. Pour into a saucepan, place over medium-low heat and stir for 25-30 minutes or until mixture thickens.

Tip: If you want, when you mix it in a blender, you can also add some condensed milk and grated coconut to taste.

Place the canned cornstarch mixture on a buttered baking sheet and let it cool to room temperature. Then set aside in the refrigerator or serve after sprinkled with cinnamon. Enjoy your food!
